Sangha Nights in May, 7pm to 8:30pm

The Bodhisattva Ideal

Buddha Day and the Bodhisattva Ideal

May 5 - A celebration of the Buddha’s birth, Enlightenment and Death with Danadasa

Vesak, also known as Buddha Day marks the birth, Enlightenment, and death of the historical Buddha. Join us for an evening of stories from the life of the Buddha, and we will conclude with a 3 fold puja.

May 12, 19, & 26 – The Bodhisattva Ideal with Prasadachitta and Danadasa

The Buddhist path can be described as the cultivation of Wisdom and Compassion, and it is the Bodhisattva Ideal that brings Compassion to the fore. A bodhisattva strives to reduce the suffering and increase the happiness of all sentient beings. Through the cultivation of Compassion, we begin to realize that our individual liberation is intertwined with the liberation of all sentient beings.
