Usually the third Saturday of each month, 10am to 4pm.
These monthly day retreats are a great opportunity to experience the benefits of retreat without leaving the city. Each month, through meditation, reflection and discussion, we will explore a different aspect of practice and see for ourselves how it relates to living well today. They are open to anyone interested in the topics, and no particular experience is required, though if you haven't meditated before you might consider taking one of our introductory classes.
During this daylong workshop Acarasiddhi will share ways to connect with our natural creativity through writing.
The workshop will be positive, friendly, encouraging and productive, with helpful and inspiring writing exercises to get us started, and reflections on the link between words and practice.
No writing or any other experience required. Bring your curiosity and your favorite writing tools (although pens and paper will also be available if you need them).
Acarasiddhi is an author and poet, usually as Tony Press. His short story collection "Crossing the Lines" was published in 2016. "Equinox and Solstice", his e-chapbook of poems, appeared in 2018 at Right Hand Pointing. He has also led many useful and enjoyable writing days.
