Usually the third Saturday of each month, 10am to 4pm.
These monthly day retreats are a great opportunity to experience the benefits of retreat without leaving the city. Each month, through meditation, reflection and discussion, we will explore a different aspect of practice and see for ourselves how it relates to living well today. They are open to anyone interested in the topics, and no particular experience is required, though if you haven't meditated before you might consider taking one of our introductory classes.
Exploring Metta and Compassion, Sat Feb 6, 10am to 12
Saturday February 5, 10am to 12 noon
Tejananda invites us to explore the qualities of love and compassion in their depths through meditation, discovering what is readily available to us when we are grounded in our senses and able to "look" at our experience in particular ways.
The morning will include Tonglen compassion meditation.
Tejananda has been visiting San Francisco to lead retreats for many years. He lives and teaches at Vajraloka Retreat Centre in Wales and leads retreats and events around the world, and now online. We're very happy that he is able to join us for another short online retreat.
