These monthly day retreats are a great opportunity to experience the benefits of retreat without leaving the city. Each month, through meditation, reflection and discussion, we will explore a different aspect of practice and see for ourselves how it relates to living well today. They are open to anyone interested in the topics, and no particular experience is required, though if you haven't meditated before you might consider taking one of our introductory classes.

Many Suttas in Buddhism show the Buddha quietly and beautifully guiding his followers towards real tranquility and wisdom through awareness of the body. As part of our "Simply Practice" theme this month and year, Prasadachitta will explore with us the power of simply paying attention to the senses.
Our day retreats are an opportunity to get a taste of retreat without leaving the city. They are open to everyone, though some meditation experience recommended. Lunch is not usually provided but there are many restaurants and grocery stores very close to the SFBC. Please feel free to email with any questions.
