Sangha members gathered at Snow Park at Lake Merritt for Earth Week Gathering Oakland, Sponsored by Extinction Rebellion and 350 Bay Area.
After an opening land acknowledgement, Viveka led a short, grounding meditation. The event also included music, speakers, and chalk drawing. The sun gave way to fog during the course of the afternoon, but there was plenty of time for connecting and community building around the topic of climate. It was good to see people we haven't seen in a while, and to spend time outdoors together.
