Prajnakavi is a poet, former teacher and editor, mother, and grandmother. She has been practicing with the SFBC since the early 1990s, and was ordained in October 2023 near Cuernavaca in Mexico. Her name means Poet of Wisdom. She gives talks and participates in the Green Sangha. Her favorite Dharma teachings are about the Brahmaviharas.
Her poetry book, Topography of Dreams, was pubished in 2020. In her spare time, she loves walking along the Richmond shoreline, writing, and dabbling in watercolors and paper arts.
She lives with her husband Viradhamma in Richmond, CA.
