Viradhamma

Viradhamma has been practicing with the Triratna Community since 1980 and was ordained in 1994 in India. He is a member of the College of Public Preceptors and Chair of the North American Men’s Ordination Team.  His activities include leading retreats and classes, giving lectures and supporting men who are training for ordination.  

Viradhamma travels to India every year to support the educational, social and Dharma programs of the Triratna Order.  He is an Advisor to the Nagaloka Centre, a residential training center and college in Nagpur that trains young Indian Buddhist activists in community organizing and Dharma teaching.  He is also the Director of DharmaJiva, a charity that organizes delegations that visit the Buddhist pilgrimage sites in north India and meet with representatives of the Buddhist Revival movement.

Viradhamma lives with his wife MJ Moore in Richmond and plays orchestral and chamber music in his spare time.
