Helen (she/her) is a long-time SFBC mitra. She joined the Council 2 1/2 years ago as a way to get more involved and re-connect with the Center, since work and family life were keeping her from attending Sangha Nights and courses regularly (even online during the pandemic!)
As a member of the council she has made it her mission to foster awareness in our sangha of issues related to racial and social justice, and especially bring awareness to the predominant whiteness of the sangha.
She was instrumental in getting more training for people in roles of responsibility and creating a new blog: Journey to Justice
