Sangha Night Wednesday July 1
Mantra Meditation 1: Mudita
with Prasadachitta and Danamaya
Where does chanting mantras fit in with our more familiar practices of meditation and study? Bringing together body, speech, and mind, mantra recitation both energizes and calms the many divided and distracted energies within us, creating greater mental and emotional spaciousness. As we explore Mudita, the quality of appreciative joy, we can discover how chanting helps us connect with the heart’s natural capacity for inspiration, gratitude, and delight in what is good. Danamaya and Prasadachitta will present everything you need to know about the basics of chanting. No singing experience or talent is needed – all voices are welcome.
This is part of our series The Heart of Buddhism running through May, June and July – drop in every week or just when you can.
