Meditation for Queer Folks

Drop-in Introductory Class Tuesday December 2, 6pm to 7:30pm

Join us for a 90-minute introductory meditation class designed especially for queer folks. In a friendly and safe environment, you’ll explore a few different postures and learn the Mindfulness of Breathing meditation technique.

The Mindfulness of Breathing has four stages, each inviting you to pay attention to your breathing in a slightly different way. We’ll learn the stages one at a time and practice each for a few minutes so you can get a feel for them. Between stages, you’ll have a chance to adjust your posture and find what’s most comfortable for you. At the end of the session, we’ll do a slightly longer practice (15–20 minutes) combining all four stages so you can experience the full meditation.

There will also be time for questions and for sharing anything that feels important.

Suggested donation: $20 to $10.  Pay at the door.

All our teachers are volunteers and our class fees and donations all go towards keeping our center running so that we can continue to provide a space to practice.
