Special Sangha Night with Sanghasiha

Special Sangha Night with Sanghasiha

Wednesday May 21, 7pm to 9pm, in person and on zoom

This More Than Human World

This curious world which we inhabit is more wonderful than it is convenient, more beautiful that it is useful; it is more to be admired and enjoyed than used. ~ Henry David Thoreau in 1837

Taking a short break from our exploration of Ksanti Paramita, we’re very happy to welcome Sanghasiha from the UK, who will talk about the connection between mudita or sympathetic joy and our relationship with the more than human world.

Sanghasīha began leading Buddhism & Deep Ecology Day Retreats at the London Buddhist Centre over ten years ago and in the last few years has also led annual Buddhism & Deep Ecology Residential and Camping Retreats as well as workshops at Buddhafield Festivals and Green Earth Awakening gatherings. He has a particular interest in Deep Listening as a way of deepening our connection with the other than human world. He has been involved in environmental activism and has also led retreats exploring the connection of the Dharma with animism and indigenous wisdom.
