This retreat is part of Triratna Ordination Training for men who wish to take ordination into the Triratna Buddhist Order.
The cost is $500 to $700 and participants are requested to give as much as they can. There is a $200 registration fee but this will be refunded if the retreat is cancelled due to coronavirus.
There will be indoor accommodations available but there is also plenty of room to camp.

This retreat is part of Triratna Ordination Training for women+ -- for those who identify as female, including those who are non-binary and trans-women, who wish to take ordination into the Triratna Buddhist Order.

Theme: Vision of the Order. Study materials will be available in December. We encourage reading and discussing the material with others prior to the retreat.

Connecting with the heart (and soul) of our practice
Our annual winter meditation retreat is a wonderful opportunity to take a break from our usual distractions and enjoy the many benefits of living and meditating together in a simple, supportive and mostly silent space.
This annual retreat is for order members and mitras connected to the San Francisco Buddhist Center.
Paramabodhi will lead the retreat this year, exploring the Satipatthana Sutta and other buddhist teachings and practices that help to calm the mind and see through delusion through becoming more and more mindful of the body.
Paramabodhi helped get the SFBC going back in the early 90's before going back to London to work on his art. He has remained a good friend to us and visits regularly to share his love of Mindfulness practice and creativity.

The Kariniya Metta Sutta is a key teaching in the Pali canon. It describes the unfolding process of a 'deep and mature emotional awareness', that begins with simple kindness towards ourselves and others, and points the way towards freedom.
On this retreat, through study and practice of the Kariniya Metta Sutta, and the Anapanasati practice, we'll be looking at how we integrate our growing understanding into 'a deep and mature emotional awareness'?
