Arts Evening: Lingering with the Motion of Elements Dancing Together
Friday July 10, 7pm to 9
Vimalamoksha will host this evening – here’s his invitation:
This evening will weave together a video montage exploring the beauty of elemental patterns and movements in the natural world. Alongside the images, I will offer reflections on some of the forms, rhythms, and resonances that emerge through these living patterns, while also creating space for others to linger with their own experience and response.
Some invitations will encourage analytical discernment, some poetic appreciation, and some a more visceral, embodied sense of participation in what is being seen. The Buddha encouraged awareness of sensory experience both internally and externally as a way of recognizing the interplay of unity and diversity within experience.
These reflections invite us into a deeper sense of belonging within the vast unfolding of life through deep time – a field of co-creation between form and mystery. Through image, movement, and contemplation, this evening offers a space to encounter different expressions of our boundless interconnectedness.
Some meditation experience and familiarity with the Dharma recommended.
Drop in. Donations welcome at the door.
All contributions go to keep the SFBC running. All our teachers are volunteers.
