September Practice Evenings: Wisdom, Devotion, and Community

September Practice Evenings: Wisdom, Devotion, and Community

Wednesday Sangha Nights, Sep 9 to 30, 7pm to 8:30pm

September 9 & 16

September is Suicide Prevention Month. Over these two weeks, Pete will share reflections from his many years volunteering on a suicide hotline, together with insights from his Buddhist practice. These evenings will offer space to reflect on suffering, compassion, and how we can meet difficult and painful experiences with care, awareness, and support.

September 23: Padmasambhava Day

Padmasambhava Day: Prasadachitta will lead a puja (a Buddhist devotional ceremony involving chanting and reflection) celebrating the wisdom and inspiration of Padmasambhava, an important figure in Tibetan Buddhism. All are welcome, whether or not you have taken part in this kind of practice before.

September 30: Mitra Ceremonies

Mitra Ceremonies: We will celebrate people formally expressing their commitment to practicing the Buddhist path within the SFBC and Triratna Buddhist Community. This is a joyful milestone marking a deepening involvement in our community.
