Acarasiddhi

Acarasiddhi took his first meditation course in 1991, and was ordained in San Francisco in February, 2005. His name, which means “The attainment of good or skillful conduct,” is a daily reminder of his intention to live according to Buddhist precepts.

He has taught English to newly-arrived immigrant high school students and adults, as well as to native English speakers. Prior to teaching, which he began in 1998, he worked for many years as a criminal defense attorney. He is a writer of short stories.
