Acarasiddhi

Acarasiddhi

Acarasiddhi, who took his first meditation course in 1991, was ordained in San Francisco in February, 2005. His name, which means "The attainment of good or skillful conduct," is a daily reminder of his intention to live according to Buddhist precepts. He tries to pay attention to that intention and sometimes he does.

He has been an English teacher, primarily for immigrant youth and adults, since 1998. Prior to teaching, he worked for many years as a criminal defense attorney. He is a writer of poems and short fiction and his book "Crossing the Lines - Stories by Tony Press," was published in 2016 (by Big Table).
