The SF Buddhist Center/FWBO space is available to rent for events compatible with Buddhist ethical guidelines, which are grounded in the principle of non-harm. The meditation hall (920 sq. ft.) has two skylights, new wood floors and new lighting -- it is a beautiful and peaceful room seating about 80 people in folding chairs with ample room in front. In the meeting/reception room (1150 sq. ft.) there is a lounge area with couches and folding chairs, a hot water urn, microwave, coffee maker, sink, small refrigerator, and two restrooms. There are two break-out rooms on the second floor.

At the bottom of this page there are a few pictures to give you a better sense of the space.

We are located near 21st and Valencia in the Mission district.

Availability

The SFBC space is generally available during the day during the week, and on weekends - week nights become more available during summer months - please ask as far in advance as possible. If you have any questions or would like to inquire about a date, please email director [at] sfbuddhistcenter.org.

Rates

Please ask for current rental rates - by SF standards they are very reasonable. Rental fees go toward the cost of operating this nonprofit public center. Reduced rates may be available for those who clean up after themselves, especially during non-peak times (such as weekdays during business hours).
